            Minutes of the Iron County Commission meeting convened at 12:00 noon July 2, 2010 in Commission Chambers at the Iron County Courthouse, Parowan, Utah.

CANVASS OF PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS

CHILDREN’S JUSTICE CENTER CONTRACT APPROVAL

CLOSED MEETING

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE :

            Those assembled were led in the pledge of allegiance by Lois Bulloch.

CANVASS OF PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS :

            David Yardley presented results from the primary election conducted June 22, 2010. The Board of Canvassers reviewed the results and election materials used in the election. Lois Bulloch made a motion to approve and certify the election results as presented. Second by Alma Adams. Voting: Wayne Smith, Aye; Alma Adams, Aye; Lois Bulloch, Aye.

            A copy of election results and certification will be attached.

CHILDREN’S JUSTICE CENTER CONTRACT APPROVAL :

            Michael Edwards presented a contract for approval between Iron County and the State of Utah for operation of the Children’s Justice Center and administering grant funds for the Center. Alma Adams made a motion to approve the contract as presented. Second by Lois Bulloch. Voting: Wayne Smith, Aye; Alma Adams, Aye; Lois Bulloch, Aye.

CLOSED MEETING :

             Lois Bulloch made a motion to close the meeting in accordance with Utah Code 52-4 et. seq. for the purpose of a strategy session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation. Second by Alma Adams. Voting: Wayne Smith, Aye; Alma Adams, Aye; Lois Bulloch, Aye.
