About Iron/Beaver County Area Community Emergency Notification System
Iron County and Beaver County, including Enterprise and New Harmony of Washington County, have implemented a Community Emergency Notification
System which, in the event of an emergency, allows participating jurisdictions to rapidly notify residents and businesses by telephone.
An operator using the system can identify the affected neighborhood or regions and record a voice-message that describes the situation. The
system will automatically call listed and unlisted telephone numbers within the affected area and deliver the recorded message. If phone
lines are busy, the system will attempt to redial. If an answering machine picks up the call, the emergency message will be left on the
machine.
Sign Up for Cellular or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Service
Cellular or VoIP phone numbers are not currently in the system database.
If you would like to be contacted on your cellular or VoIP phone, you
must register your number. Please note that this particular service is only
for businesses and residences of participating jurisdictions. While phone numbers
can be outside of this service area, you must enter a valid
address within the boundaries of this service area to be eligible for
the Reverse® 911 service. Please click here for the registration form to register your cell or VoIP
phone. Please note you do not need to register your landline phone, we
already have that in the database.
Benefits of Signing Up For Community Emergency Notification System
The system allows you to receive emergency notifications that affect
your home very quickly. You don't have to purchase any new equipment and
you will only be notified of emergencies that affect the area where your
home or business is located.
