In order to comply with Governor Gary R. Herbert and the Center of Disease Control’s efforts in taking precautionary measures to help slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Iron County will be taking the following steps in order to keep our employees and citizens safe.
Iron County offices will remain open with the exception of the Senior Citizens Center as listed below. Please use precaution and do not come into any Iron County office if you are feeling ill. If you have a subpoena for a court hearing, please call 435-865-5310 to check the status.
For your safety and our employees’ safety, please remember that we can provide services by phone or by mail. We would like to encourage residents to use online services or to call our offices whenever possible. The following implementations to specific departments will take effect today until further notice:
Iron County Jail:
The Iron County Jail lobby is closed to visitors. Only medical personnel, law enforcement, and attorneys are allowed on-site. Visits to inmates are suspended until further notice. You may still utilize virtual at-home visits by using the following address.
Use precaution if making payments in person. If possible, make payments online using the address below. Check the court calendar daily to see if changes have been made and please do not come to a hearing if you are not on the calendar. Court calendars have been recently updated and have been limited for the next 30 days.

Iron County Visitor Center:
Open with normal hours Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, closed Saturdays until further notice. Focused on the safety of our visitors and staff, we are regularly sanitizing our public spaces and all frequently touched surfaces. You can help by following the hygiene guidelines from CDC and be mindful that if you or anyone in your household is feeling sick, that you please contemplate not coming to the Visitor Center at this time and utilize our website VisitCedarCity.com for trip planning options and details on activities during this time of social distancing.
Scheduled meetings in our West Conference room are at your own risk, however we highly recommend moving meetings to a virtual platform utilizing companies like Zoom or GoToMeetings.
Iron County Outdoor Recreation:

Senior Citizens Center:
The Parowan and Cedar City Senior Citizen Offices will be closed until further notice. All scheduled activities are canceled at this time. Meals on Wheels will proceed as planned. Please call 435-586-0832 for any questions or concerns.
