WHAT ABOUT
FEES & CHARGES?
There are no charges for Iron County residents that dispose of household waste. Household waste is waste generated at your home (mattresses, yard waste, kitchen trash, appliances, etc). LOADS MUST BE COVERED AND SECURED to prevent them from blowing or falling out on the way to the landfill. Loads not covered/secured will be charged extra fees.

Construction Waste: All waste created from the building or demolition* of a structure is accepted at both locations and is charged $17/ton or $5 for small loads of less than 500lbs. This material can be concrete, sheetrock, lumber, etc. This fee applies to residents, contractors, or businesses. If your load is mixed with both household waste and construction waste, the entire load will be charged.
*Any demolition or renovation that involves a contractor must be inspected for asbestos prior to disposal.

Business Waste: Any waste generated from a business is accepted at a rate of $22/ton. LOADS MUST BE COVERED AND SECURED to prevent them from blowing or falling out on the way to the landfill. Loads not covered/secured will be charged extra fees.

Any waste coming from outside Iron County is charged double the normal rates.

As of July 2014 if your trash pickup day falls on a holiday your trash will be picked up the following business day.

Any past due amounts as of July 31, 2014 will be attached to property taxes with a processing fee of $25.00.

Effective as of January 2014, late fees have increased to $5.00 if account is delinquent on the first day of billing cycle.
